Crusaders U20's went out of the Toalsbet.com Steel & Sons Cup today on penalties after a 2-2 draw with St. James Swifts in normal and extra time at Seaview.
Bradley Maguire opened the scoring for the U20's on 29 minutes only to see Sean Donnelly equalise within seconds for St. James Swifts straight from the kick off on 30 minutes leaving it 1-1 at half time. Bradley Maguire put the U20's ahead again on 75 minutes when he finished a good move but again St. James Swifts hit back within minutes and Eugene Gallagher equalised on 77 minutes.
The game went to extra time and they could still not be separated so penalty kicks followed. It however wasn't to be for the U20's with St.James Swifts going on to win the shootout by four goals to two and they go through to the third round draw on Monday.
Crusaders U20's are next in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Stangmore Park to play Dungannon Swifts Reserves in the NIFL Development League (7.45pm)
