A very well deserved 7-0 win was the final result tonight as Crusaders Reserves went on the rampage against the hosts Carrick Rangers Reserves. It included a super hat trick by Billy Vance and the boys did well to bounve b ack just 48 hours after going out of the Steel & Sons Cup
The game was only 9 minutes old when Aureli Karrabecaj met the ball from his original header that hit the post and turned it over the line for 1-0. Billy Vance got Crusaders second after 29 minutes when he curled his effort round the home keeper beautifully after a decent build up to make it 2-0 and Matthew McWilliams made it 3-0 on 34 minutes when he met a header at the back post and squeezed it into the net. Crusaders Reserves where not finished and Aureli Karrabecaj scored from the spot on 39 minutes after a foul and on the half time whistle it was Carrick Rangers Reserves 0 Crusaders Reserves 4
The second half began like the first and Ryan Donnelly got the final touch on a cross to make it 5-0 on 47 minutes. Crusaders Reserves had to wait until the 76th minute to score again and it was Billy Vance who scored after a great solo run and shot to make it 6-0. Billy Vance wasn't finished scoring and he got his hat trick with a delightfful 25 yard free kick that left the keeper rooted to the spot and Crusaders Reserves where 7-0 up on 82 minutes. The other moment of note was a good save by Ryan Kerr and an error in defence but he spread himself well and stopped the goal and his clean sheet was intact. The whistle went and the final score was Carrick Rangers Reserves 0 Crusaders Reserves .
