It has been confirmed this evening that goalkeeper Sean O'Neill has signed for Ballymena United after 11 years at Crusaders.
Sean or “Oggers” as he was better known made a total of 365 appearances for Crusaders winning every domestic medal available with 3 Irish Premiership medals, 1 League Cup medal , 1 Irish Cup medal 2 Co.Antrim Shield medals , 1 Setanta All Ireland Cup medal and played in many European games for the club also. Sean made many important saves in his time between the posts for Crusaders and he will surely go down as a Crusaders Legend for the rest of his life. Sean was a regular until injury a few seasons ago and with chances limited he moved to Ballymena United on loan at Christmas and now makes the move permanent.
Everyone at the club would like to wish Sean all the very best for the future both on and off the pitch and of course he will be given a heroes welcome everytime he returns to Seaview.
