Sad News

22nd May 2023

It was with great sadness the Club learnt of the passing of Frankie Hewitt over the weekend. Frankie was a regular at Seaview and indeed was a volunteer steward at games until a few seasons ago and would be seen home and away with the yellow jacket on making sure Crusaders supporters where safe around the grounds.

Chairman Ronnie Millar on hearing the news said “Frankie was a loyal supporter who went ”over and beyond" his loyalty by volunteering in a stewards role for many years and although he gave up stewarding he still attended games to back the club from the stands. Frankie passing will of course mean he will be sadly missed by his family but also the Crusaders family will miss him also. It has been a tough year losing so many supporters due to their untimely passing and Frankie will be another true supporter who we will remember at Seaview in years to come"

Ronnie added “Can I ask we keep Frankie and his family circle in our thoughts and prayers over the coming days, weeks and months during this difficult time”

At Rest.
