Crusaders Reserves moved back to the top of the Premiership Development League with a big 6-1 win over Dungannon Swifts Reserves at Seaview tonight.
Going a goal down after 9 minutes the young Crues kicked into gear and where rewarded with the equaliser on 25 minutes when Aureli Karrabecaj finished a good move. Just six minutes later on 31 minutes Crusaders Reserves went ahead after Scott Mashal made a wonder save in the Crusaders Reserves goal that set off a counter attack and with seconds Brandon Downey scored in off the post and it was 2-1 and that's how the half ended.
The second half Crusaders Reserves turned the screw and Aureli Karrabecaj got his second of the night and Crusaders Reserves third on 50 minutes from the spot making it 3-1. Crusaders where rampant and Ryan Donnelly then made it 4-1 0n 54 minutes when he controlled well and shot high into the roof of the net after some great work by Ben Harrison to create the chance. Matthew McWilliams made it 5-1 after 69 minutes when he made a good run and finished it with a beautiful shot and Crusaders Reserves where not finished with Aaron Ellis winning the ball on the half way line before running in on goal and calmly slotting the ball past the keeper to leave the final score 6-1 to Crusaders Reserves.
So back to the top of the table with a fantastic win and they now look forward to next week when they travel to Shamrock Park to play Portadown Reserves.
