It was another successful night for Crusaders Reserves as they won again and stayed top of the Premiership Development League. They defeated the current Champions Coleraine Reserves 2-1 at the Coleraine Showgrounds in agame that they showed strength and character in.
Despite going down to an early goal after 5 minutes Crusaders Reserves got themselves back into the game and where rewarded with an equaliser on 24 munutes when Matthew McWilliams got the goal. Stephen McFerrans side showed why they where top by commanding large parts of the game throughout. There patience, style and persistence paid off with 8 minutes to go when Brandon Downey scored what turned out to be the winner and on the whistle the team happily came back down the road with all three points.
With Glentoran II's beating second placed Linfield Swifts it helped Crusaders Reserves extend their lead at the yop to six points and Glentoran II's now hold the second place. Next up is Midgley Park next Monday night to play Linfield Swifts.
