Pre season continues for Crusaders on Tuesday night with the visit of Scottish side Airdrieonians to Seaview (7.30pm) It is another step up in the teams we are playing before our European games and the Championship side will certainly give us another nod to where we want to be come kick off against our Europa League Conference Qualifying opponents next Thursday.
Airdrie where beaten in the Scottish Premiership play offs last season so they will certainly not be a push over as they to start a pre season run of their own that will see them begin the Championship campaign strongly in the hope of going a few steps better next season to get into the top flight. They defeated Albion Rovers 4-0 on Saturday so certainly they have found the net already. They will bring with them new signings including ex Crusaders and Glentoran defender Aidan Wilson and ex Cliftonville striker Ben Wilson and they will surely let their new team mates know what to expect.
Crusaders will field another strong side so the new signings will all get a run out and we will see the building and understanding between the lads that pre season is all about ahead of important games ahead. 1-1 last Saturday against H&W Welders saw some great touches and a beautiful finish by Jordan Forsythe and Crusaders supporters would have gone away happy with what they saw.
