31st Jan 2023

Crusaders make the short trip to The Oval on Monday night and they Glentoran in the Danske Bank Premiership (7.45pm) Crusaders play their third game in nine days over teams in the top six and are in good form while Glentoran under new manager Rodney McAree have won their two games so far under his command and this will be his toughest test yet.

Crusaders have been superb the last two games against Larne and Linfield in different styles of play and Stephen Baxter will adopt a different style again to get a result against Glentoran. Philip Lowry misses through suspension and Brandon Doyle and Ben Kennedy continue their rehabilitation. Bar our last trip to The Oval Crusaders have a good success rate lately in East Belfast and hope to get another positive result and keep the pressure on those at the top of the table.

Glentoran under Rodney McAree have had a small resurgence and the signing of Niall McGinn has also seen a a change of fortune. Sean McCartan has also started to score again and Crusaders will be wary of his goal threat alongside Jay Donnelly.

Crusaders and Glentoran have met twice this season so far and it is a win each.
