It is midweek action for Crusaders and they travel to South Belfast to play Linfield at the National Stadium at Windsor Park (7.45pm) Crusaders go into the game on the back of a two game winning streak and will look to continue that form when this game kicks off. Linfield, who are running away with the Premiership, will know that a win will put them a massive sixteen points clear of second place and that will be incentive enough to keep the run going.
Declan Caddell will not let the point difference get in the way of telling his team that anything is possible if you give it everything. It will be eleven versus eleven and teams who are running away with leagues can be beaten and this is the chance to do it. Expect little change to team that won 3-2 on Saturday against Portadown but Philip Lowry does return after suspension and should start. Jacob Blaney seems to be quickly slotting into the position in the middle of defence after starting out at right back due to the injury crisis and the fact that we had three different goalscorers in our last game shows we can have different outlets to score. Harry Franklin limped off on Saturday and will be assessed before team confirmation.
Linfield are in top form and a 2-1 win on Saturday evening against Cliftonville shows they are in great form and ready to clinch the title at the earliest they can. David Healy though will urge caution and not let his team get carried away. Kieran Offord may not make the starting line up against his old team unless International clearance is given in time but Matthew Fitzpatrick is in fine form up front and will continue in that role. Joel Cooper scored a hat trick only a few weeks ago and will need closely watched while the rest of the team will pick itself such is the way they are playing at the minute.
