Linfield v Crusaders, Danske Bank Premiership.26th November

26th Nov 2022

Saturday early evening football this week for Crusaders as they make the quick trip across the Westlink to play Linfield (5.30pm) in the latest Danske Bank Premiership game. It is a massive game for both sides as they look to keep close tabs on the teams above ahead of the usual busy December schedule.

Manager Stephen Baxter will be pleased with the reaction the team gave last week to the previous weeks defeat and it was good performance that saw them come through with a 4-0 win. The whole team played well and it will be hard not to name the same team as long as everyone is fit. Philip Lowry continues his rich vein of goals coring form with another two while Paul Heatley came back from suspension and scored. It was a great week in training and when the team meet on Saturday afternoon they will be in positive mood to get a positive result.

David Healy will be breathing slightly easier after Tuesday nights win over Larne and he will be wanting more of the same against Crusaders. Like Crusaders Linfield could be without Cameron Palmer and Kyle McClean through injury and concussion while Joel Cooper is expected to be missing again as he recovers from an injury sustained a few weeks ago. Linfield have plenty in reserve to replace these players and Crusaders will have a plan to counter anything thrown at them.

Crusaders and Linfield have already met this season on several occasions and it stands one win each and one draw.
