Congratulations to captain Julie Nelson who along with men’s international captain Steven Davis received an Honorary Doctorate from Queen’s University Belfast, for her contribution to football in Northern Ireland.
It’s been a year to remember for Julie, with Northern Ireland’s first ever appearance at a major competition in July, where she became NI’s first ever female goal scorer at the Euros added to the list of being Northern Ireland’s female record cap holder (130 only Steven Davis has more) and being awarded a BEM for her efforts - it’s been a remarkable career for our captain!!
