It's the final game of the Sports Direct league campaign and Crusaders go to The Oval to play Glentoran (5.30pm) The game may look as a “non event ” given the two sides will not move any further than fourth and fifth respectively but pride is at stake and a win will be a moral booster before both sides play in the European play off semi finals on Wednesday night.
Stephen Baxter will assess the squad ahead of the game and it is possible anyone that has an niggle may be rested but he will aslo want to field a team for a win. Billy Joe Burns could still be ruled out after injury against Coleraine and Paul Heatley could also be a missing player in the starting line up after a slight tweak kept him out lately. Several other players who have played through the pain barrier may get a chance to rest up and the depth of the squad could be used but whoever starts will give it everything to give Stephen that final league win of his managerial career as Crusaders boss.
Glentoran could also field a different side as they look to their semi final against Coleraine on Wednesday night. They may also rest anyone who has a slight injury adn rest them for the big game. New manager Declan Devine will choose wisely but also not want a home defeat on the final day and will balance accordingly.
We want you with us like every week from last July and you have shown superb support throughout. This game is no different and tickets can be bought at https://www.glentoran.com/match-tickets-away-fans . Let's see you at The Oval to get behind the team again. Keep the Faith. C'mon the Crues.
