Festive Message from Our Chairman

25th Dec 2022

Crusaders Chairman Ronnie Millar sends us a festive message through our Social Media outlets and the website.

"On behalf of the Board of Crusaders Football Club I would like to wish everyone both in Northern Ireland and around the world a very Merry Christmas. I extend the greetings to our players, management, coaches and staff at every level of Crusaders and hope the next few days will bring joy and happiness for all as it's a time we can all gather together and enjoy the traditions of the festive season. We must also remember though over the next few days those who are no longer with us due to their passing and can no longer sit at their respective family Christmas tables and we should keep these families in our thoughts and prayers.*

Ronnie adds “Can I give a special mention to everyone who make Crusaders tick seven days a week. From Bernard Thompson our General Manager and Gillian Hardy, his trusted admin sidekick, to match day volunteers on midweek games and Saturdays, Nicky and her team in Harry D's and the groundsman John and his helpers. Without your hard work and dedication there would not be a ground, social club facilities in the McDonald Centre and many other important features that go towards the team taking the field. .Finally and definitely not least you the fans have been magnificent this season and I can only ask you bottle the atmosphere you have generated so far this season and bring it out home and away for the rest of the two campaigns we are in. We of course are the current custodians of the Irish Cup after a dramatic day back in May and it is Stephens intention to retain it and fight ”tooth and nail" in the Premiership title also so we may all hold on to our hats for the next 4/5 months of intense action.

"Can I wish our sponsors a Happy Christmas also and thank you for your continued support that does not go unnoticed and finally to the wider football family throughout the Irish League, to all competition sponsors and to NIFL may you also have a good time these coming days."

"I finish as always with the usual request. Three points on Boxing Day please and a great day at Seaview where we go home at approx 5.50pm to fully enjoy the rest of the holiday.. Enjoy everyone and I look forward to seeing you on Monday and in 2023.

C'mon the Crues. Keep The Faith
