It was case of rolling back the years today at Seaview when the Club held a lunch to remember the first time Crusaders won the Irish Cup.
A packed hospitality suite in the McDonald heard lots of stories from the past as players from both Crusaders and Glentoran told of their part in the game. As everyone enjoyed their two course lunch those of a certain age told their own story of the day and how they enjoyed watching those players in the room and others not there win the trophy for that first time.
The past players where then welcomed to the pitch and the sold out and packed stands gave them all a rousing round of applause and they left the field to enjoy the game from the balcony of the McDonald Centre. Thanks for a great day guys and your welcome at Seaview anytime.
