Crusaders kept their pre season form going with a solid 4-1 win over Maiden City at Seaview on Saturday.
It was all Crusaders from the start and they eventually took the lead on 26 minutes when Dean Ebbe ran on to a good through ball and finished well to put Crusaders 1-0 up. Crusaders stepped up another gear and scored twice in the last five minutes of the half when Robbie Weir and Mick Gerard both scored decent efforts and 3-0 at half time showed Crusaders dominance.
The second half was saw the usual changes that a pre season game has and it was one of the subs who scored Crusaders fourth when Jay Boyd finished well. Maiden City scored a consolation goal on 89 minutes when they finished a good move with a goal from 7 yards. There was little time left and the whistle went seconds later and the result 4-1.
It sets Crusaders up well as they head of to Basel on Tuesday evening ahead of the game on Thursday.
