Crusaders Win Again At Seaview

Crusaders made it two out of two as they defeated Portadown 3-2 at Seaview and with it moved to joint fourth in the table in a tightly compact table that sees six points seperate second to sixth.

Crusaders got off to the best possible start when Harry Franklin scored at the back post but where pegged back on the half hour when Josh Ubek pounced on a defensive lapse and scored past Johnny Tuffey. The seconhalf saw Crusaders take control of the barttle and Jordan Forsythe put them ahead again on 56 minutes when he met a corner perfectly and the ball flew past Aaron McCarey. It got better for Crusaders on 70 minutes when Harry Jewitt-White got his ssecond goal in successive games when he finished off a move that Stewart Nixon created before passing foe the goal. Crusaders let themselves in for a nervy few minutes at the end of the game when Johnny Tuffey failed to punch clearly and after a scramble the ball fell to Lee Chapman who scored in the final second of the ninety. The four minutes of additional time seemed an age for everyone at Seaview but on the whistle Crusaders won and moved up the table with a good win.
