Crusaders warmed up for the Conference League Qualifier On Thursday Night with a 5-0 win over Comber Rec on Saturday at Seaview.
Crusaders rushed into a 2-0 lead within 10 minutes of the start and it was Lewis Barr with the opener and Johnny McMurray getting the second. Crusaders dominated as expected but couldn't get another before the break. The second half continued like the first with Crusaders pushing on and a third came on 52 minutes when Dean Ebbe finished. The usual changes in a pre season game took place on the hour but Crusaders had to wait until around the 80th minute when Jordan Owens scored to make it 4-0. Crusaders weren't finished and Jude Winchester made it 5-0 with three minutes left with the goal of the day hitting a powerful shot low and hard passed the Comber Rec keeper.
The game was exactly what Crusaders needed and they head off on Monday to Gibraltar feeling good.
