Crusaders v Newry City. Danske Bank Premiership. 19th November

19th Nov 2022

Crusaders are at home for the second time this week when Newry City come to Seaview on Saturday (3pm) Stephen Baxter will want his side to put the defeat by Ballymena Utd on Monday night out of their minds and look for win to get back on track.

Disappointed but eager to turn the last result around the squad have had a good week and are ready to go again. We wait to see if Robbie Weir makes his return after injury or Jordan Forsythe is rested after leaving the pitch early against Ballymena Utd but only the manager and his team will decide. Lewis Barr should get the nod again as Chris Hegarty continues his recovery and Rory McKeown should start if Jordan Forsythe does miss out. Newry City will look to move further up the table after a good 4-1 win over Carrick Rangers last week but Darren Mullan knows this game will be different. He will look to the positives when the teams last met and try and improve but Crusaders will be ready for waht lies ahead.

Crusaders and Newry City have already met this season with Crusaders winning from a quick fire double from Philip Lowry and Daniel Larmour in the second half.
