It's an away day for Crusaders this weekend as they travel to Inver Park to play Larne in the Sports Direct Premiership (3pm) Crusaders are looking to bounce back after a narrow defeat to Linfield last week while Larne where beaten 3-0 in their last Premiership outing to Dungannon Swifts. on Sunday 6th October. It's a big game for both sides and one that is sure to entertain.
It will be a case of who is fit and can play as manager Declan Caddell checks on the walking wounded. Those who have played through the pain barrier have been magnificent and have been wrapped in cotton wool through the week to get them ready for this week again. Robbie Weir should be fit despite getting an injury close to the eye last week while Stewart Nixon could be recalled after a concussion injury although the medical team have the last say. Philip Lowry was on the bench last week and may start this one and Harry Jewitt-White should also come back into contention ready to give one of the front men a rest if that is decided.
Larne are in the middle of a long run that will see them play sometimes three times a week up to Christmas but that is the price of qualifying in Europe and will have to be managed. Tieran Lynch will manage his large and expensively assembled squad over this period and we could see some regulars starting on the bench as he looks towards the game against Shamrock Rovers on Thursday. Alternatively he might go strong as they sit mid table with games in hand to try and close the gap but Crusaders will know that they are strong in all positions and will pose a massive threat.
We can't wait to see you at Inver Park with us and make sure you bring your colours and vices as we need you to get behind Declan and the team. The team appreciate your backing and it does lift them during ganes, Go to www.larnefc.com/tickets to get your ticket and make your way to the game on Saturday. See you there. C'mon the Crues.
