Friday night football this week at Seaview as Larne come to Seaview (7.45pm) hoping for a minimum of a point to clinch the Danske Bank Premiership title. Crusaders though have other ideas as they build momentum with an Irish Cup Final fast approaching and players who playing for a final shirt so it all adds up to be a the basis of a great game.
Stephen Baxter will look at his whole squad like he has the two previous games too assess the squad before naming the line up. Niggles and injuries will be closely monitored and only his strongest 11 will be picked. Josh Robinson and Jarlath O'Rourke both limped out of action on Tuesday night and may not be play but Chris Hegarty and Rory McKeown will be ready to fill in if required. The team have been magnificent of late and they will look for more of the same as they push as high up the table before the season ends with their end goal the massive final in May.
Larne are close to being confirmed as Champions but they know they have a big challenge ahead as they play an “in form” Crusaders side. Tiernan Lynch will hope that his players stay calm but as we know jitters can play a big part and things could fall apart in this game anyway. Larne are strong across the park with many good players but the main threat will be Lee Bonis up front as he attempts to score his side to the title.
Crusaders and Larne have met three times this season with Larne winning one and the other two drawn
