The games keep coming for Crusaders and Tuesday night sees Carrick Rangers come to Seaview in the rearranged game that was cancelled on the opening day of the season due to Crusaders European commitments. Crusaders will be looking to extend the good run they are on so early in the campaign while Carrick Rangers will be out to get back to winning ways after a big defeat on Saturday.
Crusaders will be itching to get at it after the game against Glentoran on Saturday was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Two wins in two makes it a perfect start and some of the football played has been superb. We can expect little change to the side that defeated Dungannon Swifts last Tuesday night at Seaview and any niggles or injuries should have cleared up. Manager Stephen Baxter will be pleased with the start to the season but there is also room for improvement and it will be expected.
Carrick Rangers where heavily beaten last Saturday by Cliftonville and Stuart King will demand a reaction. Carrick Rangers board have backed their manager financially and will be looking a return for the squad that has been assembled so Crusaders will need to be alert to them kicking on. Danny Purkis will be the main threat along with Joe Crowe but ex Crusaders players David Cushley and Andy Mitchell will also need watched closely.
