The Sports Direct Premiership continues for Crusaders on Saturday and second placed Ballymena United come to Seaview (3pm) in a big game for both clubs. Declan Caddell and Crusaders are nicely positioned in the table at this stage of the season given the changes around the club while Jim Ervin and Ballymena Utd have gone on an amazing run after a poor start only to be halted in their Derby game last week. Two sides who are going for it means a good game is in prospect.
Crusaders came away last week from Inver Park knowing they should have brought home three points but happy to take the one. It was a massive performance by the whole team and Kieran Offords goal was worthy of winning any game but a late equaliser meant 1-1. It will be much the same team wise again this week as injuries shrink the team selection with Billy Joe Burns, Lloyd Anderson, Adam Lecky, Philip Lowry and Daniel Lramour all watching last weeks game rather than playing but it has meant that others have taken their chance really well and team spirit is at an all time high. Manager Declan Caddell will pick wisely and with so many playing well unless and injury has happened he could well go with last weeks team again and who would argue but we wait too see at 1.45 on Saturday.
Ballymena Utd supporters would not have believed they would be where they are in the league after the poor start they had but a fantastic run has put them second. Jim Ervins squad changed dramatically over the summer as the Board backed his ambition and they have gradually got it together as a team. The squad have a large presence of ex Coleraine and ex Crusaders players and they will be out to prove their run was not a flash in the pan by getting back into winning ways. If selected Sean O'Neill, Colin Coates, Johnny McMurray and Ben Kennedy could all play against their old side.
