Crusaders v Ballymena Utd. Danske Bank Premiership. 14th November

13th Nov 2022

Crusaders are at home in the first of two games at Seaview this week and Ballymena United are the opponents on Monday night (7.45pm)

Stephen Baxters side will be in positive form after a solid and hard fought win over Coleraine last Tuesday night and training this week has reflected that mood. The incentive in winning is they will move to joint second spot in the Premiership table with Glentoran and this will push the team on. Chris Hegarty could be set to miss this one after coming off late in the first half against Coleraine but Lewis Barr could be a ready replacement in a shuffled back four after his peformance when he replaced Chris. Expect little other change to the winning team unless any knocks were picked in training. Ballymena United sit three from bottom in the table and David Jeffrey will look to turn his sides fortunes round after a frustrating start to the campaign. With only four wins he will look to start turning the seven draws into wins and Crusadrs will be aware of the fightback possible. Ross Redman has been the star player the last few weeks and Crusaders defence will need to Davy McDaid up front if he plays.

Crusaders and Ballymena United have met once this season already with Crusaders winning.
