Crusaders are back at Seaview on Saturday when they play Ballymena United in the latest Sports Direct Premiership game (3pm) Building on last weeks big win against Larne will be key to securing a “top six” place come March 22nd so a win is a must for Crusaders while Ballymena United will also be coming in postive mood after a great display against Linfield last Friday night.
It has been another great week of training at Seaview and the team are positive ahead of this game. The Larne win was a great boost as players are beginning to return to the squad and make themselves available after injury which is another big plus. It is hoped Robbie Weir could be back after being sidelined for a few weeks with injury while Daniel Larmour and Harry Jewitt-White return after suspension last week. The team effort last week was exactly what was needed and the challenge is to do it again. Jimmy Callacher, Josh Williamson and Philip Lowry where all exceptional last time out and all three should play their part again.
Ballymena United missed out on three valuable points last week to a very very late equaliser and Jim Ervin will use that to motivate his team before Saturdays game. After a poor start United went on a run that saw them top the Premiership but since them form has been stop start and they now sit in the bottom half of the table. United have drawn three of their last five games in the Premiership and drew the other two but Crusaders will still be wary of the threat they pose. New signings in the transfer window have also boosted that threat. Players to watch are Daniel Lafferty and Donal Rocks.
