Crusaders Unveil 1st Summer Signing

12th Jun 2022

Crusaders are pleased to announce 27 year old striker Dean Ebbe has signed for the club. The 6ft 2" Irishman joins Crusaders from Bala Town in Wales where he played on loan from his parent club The New Saints who also play in Wales.

Dean is ready to hit the ground running and spoke to www.crusadersfc.com minutes after signing telling us “ I am delighted to join Crusaders and  delighted to get the job done. It was quick process. I came up on Thursday and back again today to sign. My agent got in touch with the club and they came back quickly and set up the meeting and here I am”

When asked what he knew about Crusaders Dean replied “ I know they are a massive club and I am really looking forward to the challenge. They won the cup last season and hopefully we can push on and challenge for the league this year. I know players in the league but not anyone at the club yet. I am looking forward to getting stuck into pre season. I have been doing my own stuff the last few weeks and I am raring to go”

Stephen is equally as happy with the signing telling the website " We are obviously delighted that Dean has chosen to come to our football club. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes with agents and conversations with the player.. Dean only arrived a few days ago to see us from Dublin but he has been across the water the last few years and plied his trade in the Welsh League, scored a lot of goals with TNS and then with Bala Town so he comes with a proven goal scoring record, has bagged a lot of goals and played a lot of high quality games at a professional level for a while. Dean is a real athlete, scored some cracking goals, scored a lot of European goals for TNS and got them through a few rounds so he comes with a high pedigree and we are really looking forward to seeing him play and we are looking forward to getting him out on the football pitch and seeing him play and perform. He had a host of opportunities to play for other clubs but he has chosen to come to our club so we are delighted to get it over the line.
