Crusaders U18's are into the hat for the next round of the Junior Shield after winning 3-2 against 4th Newtownabbey OB at Seaview on Saturday.
It was a tight affair with very little between the sides but it was the visitors who went into the break one ahead after Brandon Hassan scored in the final stages of the half. A half ttime chat saw Crusaders U18's come out fighting and they where level on 49 minutes when Jack Lindsay equalised. An unfortunate OG by Cain Quinn saw Crusaders U18's go behind again on 56 minutes but Aaron Ellis got Crusaders U18's level again just eight minutes later on 64 minutes. Crusaders U18's pushed on and went ahead for the first time in the game on 78 minutes when Joshua Ritchie scored to make it 3-2 and his goal eventually proved the difference with no further goals in the game and Crusaders U18's progressing.
So through to another round with a decent performance they await to see who they meet in the next round. Well done to Jimmy Callaghers team. Onwards and upwards.
