Crusaders U18's secured a Quarter Final spot in the Harry Cavan Youth Cup on Saturday beating Ballymena United U18's 5-2 at Seaview.
They went aheadby Ryan Donnelly on 11 minutes when Coist Walker scored but where hit with a double whammy from Ballymena United U18's scoring in the 21st and 31st minutes with goals from James Hood and Ben Munnnis respectively. The sides went in level at half time 2-2 though as Brandon Downey got on the scoresheet after 38 minutes and both sides had produced a decent game so far.
Whatever Stephen McFerran said at half time worked for Crusaders U18's as the they scored three goals without reply and coasted into the next round. Leon Barr put the home side ahead after 58 minutes followed by Ben Harrison on 68 minutes and rounded off by Ryan Donnelly on 80 minutes to leave the final score 5-2 and a very satisfactory display.
