Crusaders tonight earned the right to play Coleraine in the NIFL European Play Off Final with a convincing 3-1 victory over Carrick Rangers at Seaview.
Adam Lecky opened the scoring with a neat header after a good cross by Ross Clarke before a frantic end to the first half when Stewart Nixon score with a nice volley in time added on to put Crusaders 2-0 ahead before Daniel Gibson got a goal back for Carrick Rangers when he scored seconds later after the restart.
Crusaders where in control in the second half and went further ahead again when Ben Kennedy scored with a header after a good adavantage by referee Tim Marshall to make it 3-1. Johnny Tuffey had little to do in the half bar pulling off a fantastic save from Nedas Maciulaitis and Crusaders ran out comfortable winners and into the final they went.
