Crusaders Strikers have opened their All Island Cup capaign with a gusty 1-0 victory over DLR Waves at the Whitehall Stadium in Dublin.
In windy conditions they held the home side well and scored in the second half when Amy McGivern scored a great header at the near post from a corner. The ladies kept going and where deserved winners come the final whistle and headed back up the road with three points in the bag.
They play Treaty United next in the competition at Seaview on Sunday 21st April before their final game in the group against Shamrock Rovers on Sunday 19th May also at Seaview
Well done and hopefully a good run in the competition is ahead.
