Crusaders Reserves Win Big Again

8th Oct 2024

Crusaders Reserves remain top of the Premiership Development League with their second 6-1 win in a week.

This time they defeated Portadown Reserves at Shamrock Park in an another great display that showed the talent, positivity and confidence the young side have at the minute. Aureli Karrabecaj scored another double in the first 20 minutes that cancelled out Portadown Reserves early goal and this was followed up by a double from Brandon Downey on 22 minutes and 34 minutes before Leon Barr scored on 38 minutes to leave the half time score 5-1 to Crusaders Reserves. The second half was a tame affair compared to the first and it wasn't until the 83rd minute that Crusaders Reserves got their sixth and final goal courtesy of Cole McElnea.

This result keeps them on top of the table and with Linfield Swifts only drawing with Carrick Rangers Reserves they have extended their lead at the top of the table to three points. Well done Stephen McFerran and the team. A great start to the season.
