Crusaders where narrowly beaten 3-2 at Seaview today by Linfield in a game that they could have taken a point from it only for an outstanding save by Chris Johns in the Linfield net.
Linfield dominated the first half and went ahead on 40 minutes when Kyle McClean put them ahead. Crusaders came out the second half with purpose rightly equalised when Jordan Stewart scored fro a tight angle to make it 1-1. Linfield nudged ahead again just four minutes later when Matthew Fitzpatrick scored with a header from close range and Kule McClean got his second and Linfields third with three minutes to go to make it 3-1 to the visitors. Crusaders ythough never gave up and give it a right go in injry time and Harry Franklin gave a lifeline when he scored with seconds remaining. The final act of the game was a great save from Chris Johns to deny Jordan Owens a last second header that would have made it a spectacular comeback.
