Crusaders Lose But Make It Hard For Linfield

21st Jan 2024

Crusaders put up a great fight against Linfield today at the national Stadium at Windsor Park and came away disappointed they dis not get points from a game that ended 1-0 to Linfield with a first half goal by Josh Archer the difference.

After a shaky opening few minutes Crusaders more than matched their opponents and grew into the game. Just as they started to get that foothold the Premiership leaders too the lead when Josh Archer ran in on goal after a good ball found him and he rifled the shot past Johny Tuffey on 27 minutes. Crusaders kept at it and their hard work nearly paid off whn Stewart Nixon and Lloyd Anderson had good chances. The second half saw Crusaders push on and Johnny Tuffey really had very little to do. Chris Johns did and he saved well from Jordan Owens and Jordan Forsythe had a shot deflected on to the post. Crusaders also had the ball in the net twice but both where chalked off by the referee for infringements leading to the goals.

Unlucky but again a performance to show that the results we derserve are not far away. Full report to follow.
