It was back to winning ways and in great fashion for Crusaders as they deservedly won 3-1 against Glenavon at Mourneview Park. It also marked another milestone for our legend Jordan Owens as he scored his 250th goal for the Club.
The game ebbed and flowed in the first half but Crusaders got the breakthrough just before half time when Jarlath O'Rourke controlled well and shot past Rory Brown to make it 1-0 after a good build up. Crusaders went further in the second half when Paul Heatley finished another good move and Crusaders where in control. Glenavon got back into the game with 15 minutes to go when Jack Malones free kick squirmed out of Johnny Tuffeys hands and over the line to make it 2-1. Both sides pushed for more goals but it was that man Jordan Owens who made the points for Crusaders safe when he headed or maybe shouldered the ball home in added time to secure victory and also scoring his 250th goal for Crusaders.
