Crusaders Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old winger Elliot Dunlop from Airdrie on a two-year contract. The move sees midfielder Alex King return to Scotland as part of a player exchange agreement.
Dunlop, a talented and energetic wide player, impressed during a loan spell at Stranraer last season, scoring seven goals and providing numerous assists in Scottish League Two. His pace, creativity, and attacking mindset make him a key addition to Declan Caddell’s exciting rebuild at Seaview.
Speaking about the signing, Crusaders manager Declan Caddell said:
“We are delighted to welcome Elliot to the football club. He comes highly recommended and brings flair, creativity, and directness to the team. Elliot loves to run at opposition players, create opportunities, and has an eye for goal.
During his visit to the club, I could see his excitement about getting the deal done. He adds an extra dimension to our attacking options, and we’re looking forward to seeing him thrive in the Irish League.”
Crusaders FC would also like to extend its best wishes to Alex King, who returns to the Scottish Championship after joining the club from Greenock Morton in January 2025. Alex made a valuable contribution during his time at Seaview, and we thank him for his efforts in red and black.
We would also like to thank Airdrie FC for their cooperation and assistance in making this deal happen.
Everyone at Crusaders FC warmly welcomes Elliot and wishes Alex continued success in the next chapter of his career.
