Crusaders FC are delighted to confirm the signing of Northern Ireland U19 international Jack Doherty from Fleetwood Town on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The highly-rated 19-year-old initially joined Fleetwood in August 2023 from Derry City and went on to earn his first professional contract with the English side in August 2025, highlighting his continued development and potential at senior level. As part of the agreement, Doherty will spend the remainder of the current season on loan with Institute, gaining valuable first-team experience, before returning to Seaview in June to link up with Declan Caddell’s squad ahead of pre-season and the 2026/27 campaign. The move represents another exciting addition for the Crues as the club continues to build for the future, bringing in young talent with international pedigree and strong professional experience.
