It was defeat at Seaview for Crusaders on Saturday as Coleraine left with three points and and a 2-0 win. A double in the second half by Conor McKendry turned out to be the difference but for goal line clearances and some refereeing decisions that where controversial the score could have been different.
Coleraine took the lead when Conor McKendry finished well but Crusaders where annoyed an incident leading up to the goal that should have gone in their favour when Ben Kennedy was blocked and the foul went in Coleraines favour. McKendry got his and Coleraines second 11 minutes before the end when Billy Joe Burns did not make a contact with a headed back pass and when it fell short the player pounced.
