It was a good end to 2023 for Crusaders when they ease to a 2-0 win over Carrick Rangers at Seaview. It was the “old guard” who secured the points in a team display with Paul Heatley and Jordan Owens getting the goals in the second half.
The two goals came in the second half when Paul Heatley got round Albert Watson to score from a cracking header down from Jordan Owens and the second came when Jordan Owens delightfully scored with a well directed volley from a perfect Billy Joe Burns cross. Crusaders where alsways on top in the game but their strong showing was helped along when Kurtis Forsythe was sent off for Carrick Rangers in the second half minutes before the second goal. Carrick Rangers only threatened once the whole game but Johnny Tuffey was up to Cameron Stewarts header at the back post.
