A super second half performanace from Crusaders saw them draw with Larne 2-2 and only a great save from Rohan Ferguson from a Ross Clarke shot Crusaders could have collected all three points.
In a first half that really did not do much for either side Larne took an early lead after 9 minutes when a Paul O'Neill header managed to get past several players on the line. The second half saw a change in pace in what turned out to be an entertaining 45 minutes. Crusaders where rewarded for their hard work when Philip Lowry was on hand to put the ball over the line from close range to equalise on 55 minutes. Larne took the lead again on 68 minutes when Shaun Want found the ball at his feet to score from a Larne corner. Crusaders came right back again and on 75 minutes Stewart Nixon equalised with a cracker. He received the ball outside the box and got himself into a position where he looked up before curling a beautiful ball from 22 yards over and round Rohan Ferguson and it was 2-2. Crusaders where hungry for all three points and put Larne on the back foot for the final 15 minutes. Jordan Stewart was then sent off for Crusaders in the 90th minute for a tackle on Conor McKendry but it was Crusaders who had a final say with that shot by Ross Clarke saved by Rohan Ferguson in the final seconds but on the whistle it was a draw a point each.
It leaves Crusaders in sixth place in the table level on points with Dungannon Swifts and next to Seaview is Glentoran next Saturday for another massive game.
