Crusaders where in super form tonight at Seaview when they defeated Ballymena United 3-0 in a game they could have won by a bigger margin only for ex Crusaders keeper Sean O'Neill. From the start Crusaders where in command but had to wait until the 29th minute to open the scoring with Philip Lowry scoring from six yards. Four minutes later it was 2-0 when Jarlath O'Rourke finished off a goodmove when Adam Lecky headed down a Ross Clarke cross and the defender was on hand to put the ball into the net. 2-0 and coarting Crusaders where dangerous in every attack with Sean'O'Neill keeping the score line respectable with save after save.
Crusaders had to wait to the 83rd minute to get their third and final goal of the night when Jordan Forsythe rose highest and placed his header perfectly into the net leaving the final score 3-0 at the whistle.
