Crusaders fell to their first defeat of the season at home to Glenavon this afternoon with a goal from Michael O'Connor being the difference between the two sides.
Crusaders had the majority of the posession but found it hard to break down a stubborn travelling defence that often saw most of the team behind the ball as Crusaders tried to pierce through. The goal that made the difference came in the 18th minute when a ball over the top in a counter attack fell perfectly to Michael O'Connor and he lashed the ball past Johnny Tuffey.
Crusaders tried desperately to get back into the game but the Glenavon rearguard stood firm and they went home with all three points leaving Declan Caddells side frustrated.
