Crusaders defeated Coleraine at The Coleraine Showgrounds today with a superb 2-0 victory that saw every player play their part in the win. A master class in defending and also scoring from set plays and counter attacks put the mojo back into the team after several hard knocks the last few weeks.
Crusaders weathered in the storm in the first half with Johnny Tuffey in top form and on 35 minutes where rewarded when Jacob Blaney turned Ross Clarke free kick past Max Little in the Coleraine goal to give them the lead at half time. Coleraine came out the second half and hit Crusaders with everything and again Johnny Tuffey was in greta form as was the defence. Crusaders did have some chances themselves but they had to wait to injury time to get the second goal and it came after a great run by Josh O'Connor from his own half and the unselfishly passed to Harry Jewitt-White to score and send the away support wild. On the whistle the players celebrated the win and the effort put in to the win and celebrated with the fans who appreciated the effort on the pitch.
