All at Crusaders are saddened to learn that Eddie Blair passed away last Thursday.
Eddie, pictured above, was Crusaders FCs first match day mascot and led the team out with pride while carrying a hatchet in the years following the clubs admittance into the Irish League.
There will be a short service for Eddie at 40 Ivan Street, York Road, Belfast at 10.30 on Thursday 14th November followed by his burial at 12 noon.
The funeral cortège will stop momentarily outside Seaview on the way to Carnmoney Cemetery.
Chairman Ronnie Millar wishes to pass on condolences to the family circle on behalf of all at Crusaders FC commenting, “Eddie was one of the original hatchetmen and will be remembered well and with fondness by many of our older supporters. He will forever be part of our history and folklore.”
