Coleraine v Crusaders. Danske Bank Premiership. 9th December

8th Dec 2022

It Coleraine v Crusaders in the Danske Bank Premiership for the second time in little over a month at the Coleraine Showgrounds and we expect a cracker given the form of the two teams. Crusaders had a superb 3-2 victory over Glentoran last week while Coleraine made it into the League Cup Final with a penalty shoot out win against Coleraine.

Stephen Baxter was rightly proud of his patched up side last Saturday and the way they won 3-2 and will ask the same again. The head count of the injured will be taken where required and they will be asked to do the same against Coleraine to move Crusaders closer to top spot ahead of the holiday games. There shouldn't be much of a change given the injury list but we may see some players who started on the bench last week possibly getting the nod over those who played injured last week as Stephen rotates and keeps the depleted squad in some shape. The victory last month at the Showgrounds will be the perfect platform to start from again on this one and hopefully the result will be replicated come approx 9.30pm.

Oran Kearney will assess his squad after extra time and penalties took them through to the League Cup Final on Tuesday night against Cliftonville. Again if all are fit there will be little or no change to the team but we wait to see as Oran Kearney will not want a repeat of last month. Coleraine currently sit in sixth place in the table and have won their last two Premiership games.

Crusaders and Coleriane met last month at the Coleraine Showgrounds with Crusaders collecting all three points
