We are officially back in domestic football on Friday night as we travel to the Ballymena Showgrounds to play Ballymena United (7.45pm) in our first game of the newly sponsored Sports Direct Premiership. With our European campaign over it is now the time to knuckle down and give our best shot at the title and that is exactly what we are out to do.
Crusaders head into the game full of confidence and fit. Stephen has practically the complete squad to choose from and we wait too see exactly who makes the team at 6.30pm on Friday night. We all could pick two teams but it is up to Stephen and the management team to decide.
Ballymena United suffered a defeat in their openinng game against derby rivals Coleraine but Jim Ervin and his side will want to bounce back quickly and Crusaders will be on alert. United will probably field the same side bar Gawne who was injured early on last week as they are given the chance to prove themselves once again. Crusaders will be up against Johnny McMurray, Colin Coates and Sean ‘O’Neill who are all ex Crusaders players so the scene is set for a great game.
